First new look at the titular hero as well as a cameo of War Machine from the highly anticipated sequel, now with HI-RES VERSION

Yahoo! Movies in conjunction with Marvel Entertainment has released the first teaser poster for next summer's destined blockbuster, Iron Man 2. The poster confirms both the presence of War Machine as well as a release date of May 7, 2010, almost two years to the day that the inaugural installment took box offices by storm with a $98 million opening weekend. It also comes a week after Free Comic Book Day, a popular season for Marvel to release new tentpole superhero flicks, joining the ranks of the first and third Spider-man movies, the second X-Men movie and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The images that accompany the teaser poster inculde shots of stars Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Scarlett Johannson (Natasha Romanov/Black Widow), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Don Cheadle (James "Rhodey" Rhodes/War Machine), and Mickey Rourke (Whiplash).
